Measuring Tools
Tape measure, pencil or marking tool, and a square for accurate layout.
Plan a cleaner installation from measurement and cutting to LED strip placement, diffuser fitting and final testing.
The exact tools depend on your mounting surface and profile type, but these are useful starting points for most installations.
Tape measure, pencil or marking tool, and a square for accurate layout.
Use a suitable fine-tooth saw or aluminum cutting tool for the profile and appropriate cutters for the diffuser.
Mounting clips, screws or other hardware appropriate for the profile and installation surface.
Use a clean cloth and suitable surface cleaner before applying self-adhesive LED strip.
Follow this sequence to reduce fit issues and avoid rework during installation.
Measure the installation area, confirm profile length and decide where wiring will enter or exit.
Mark the required length and cut the aluminum channel squarely. Remove sharp edges and metal debris before continuing.
Install mounting clips or secure the profile according to its mounting design. Keep the profile straight and properly aligned.
Confirm strip width, voltage and polarity. Cut only at the marked cut points provided by the LED strip manufacturer.
Clean the aluminum surface, remove the adhesive backing and press the strip evenly into the channel without twisting or stretching it.
Connect the compatible power supply and test the strip before fitting the diffuser and end caps.
Install the diffuser evenly along the channel. Depending on the profile, it may snap in, slide in or press into place.
Fit end caps, route the cable neatly and complete the final visual and electrical check.
Surface-mount, recessed and plaster-in profiles use different installation methods. Always follow the product drawing and mounting hardware supplied with your profile.
Secure clips to the surface at suitable intervals, then press the channel into the clips.
Prepare the recess using the exact product drawing and allow clearance for the profile body, flanges and wiring.
Install the profile before final wall or ceiling finishing so the plaster wings can be integrated into the surface.
Power the LED strip before fitting the diffuser and end caps so problems are easier to correct.
Metal dust, construction debris and grease can reduce LED strip adhesion and affect the finished appearance.
Decide where power wires and connectors will sit before mounting the profile to avoid visible cables or tight bends.
If the diffuser does not seat correctly, check for cable joints, solder points or strip components obstructing the cover.
Disconnect power before wiring or modifying an LED lighting system. Use a compatible power supply and follow local electrical requirements. If you are unsure about electrical work, use a qualified installer.
